On July 1, 2016, the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) mandated the telecommunication operators in Nigeria to implement Do-Not-Disturb (DND). Since then, there has been a serious issue with bulk SMS delivery to DND numbers in Nigeria. This issue is as a result of the introduction of the Do-Not-Disturb (DND) service by the GSM Network operators which allows their customers to opt-out of receiving promotional messages for 3rd Party services (Bulk SMS, VAS promos, etc.)

- Register a bulk SMS Nigeria account on SMS.com.ng
- Activate your SMS.com.ng account by clicking on the activation link sent to your email address. Please, check your spam folder if you don't get it in 10 minutes.
- Login to your SMS.com.ng account and you will be redirected to the 'Send SMS' page. You will notice that you were given 2 free units for testing.
- Compose your message: enter a sender name; enter the destination numbers; and type your message.
- Ensure that the checkbox for DND Delivery is clicked (checked) and click 'Send SMS'.
- Your bulk SMS will deliver to all the contacts including DND numbers at no extra cost (just 1 unit).
How SMS.com.ng Delivers Bulk SMS to DND Numbers in Nigeria
On the 'Send SMS' page, you should see a notice:
